Be a Hero… Read, Imagine, and Create at the Hoboken Public Library’s Book Festival! Join us in celebrating Reading and Literacy on Saturday, June 13 from 11 AM to 5 PM. Events for All Ages!

Helping Children with Grief
Therapist Linda Diaz will be at the library on Tuesday June 2, 6:30 PM to discuss how parents can discuss loss and handling grieving with children.

Computer Basics in Spanish
Spanish speakers can join us on Wednesday June 3 at 6 PM, for an introduction to computer use.

LGBTQ Panel Discussion
Thursday June 4 at 6:30 PM features a panel on LGBTQ Local Resources, Gay Marriage and Adoption, Gay Parenting, and Bullying.

Don Sichler’s After the Flood
Don Sichler will be showing his photography at the Hoboken Public Library Gallery throughout June. He will have a reception on Monday June 8 at 6 PM.

Photo Editing
Join us on Tuesday June 9 at 2 PM to learn more about using the Photo editing software.

Writers Group

LGBTQ Life Through a Lavender Lens: Gems from In the Life
On Thursday June 18 at 6:30 PM, former In the Life co-executive producers John Catania & Charles Ignacio will present and screen stories culled from the groundbreaking series, now archived at the UCLA Film & Television Archive.

Park Bench Poetry
On Saturday June 20 at 2 PM, join us for an Open Mic in the Gazebo across form the library. Our featured performers are Liam Brown and the Pounds.

Philip K. Dick Book Discussion and Movie Screening
On Monday June 22 at 6 PM, as part of HPL’s Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Group we will discuss Ubik by Philip K. Dick. Before the book at 4 PM, we will be screening a science fiction classic based on another of Dick’s works. Popcorn and soda will be served. Join us Thursday June 25 at 7:30 PM for a discussion of Anthony Doerr’s 2015 Pulitzer prize winner.

LGBTQ Music, Poetry and Prose
On Thursday June 25 at 6:30 PM, members of Ladies on the Mic will perform music, spoken word, and poetry written by famous lesbian poets and singers.
